Write Up:
Four members had an excellent day on this interesting scramble. The company was great, discussion continuous, weather good enough to never need a jacket after the first ten minutes, but also not unbearably hot. The views were great for the nearer peaks, but somewhat obscured by smoke for the distant summits. We followed Kane’s suggested route, heading up Hector Creek well past Andromache, then left up to the ridge and unnamed peak, then back to Andromache, and finally down the NW ridge to a second car parked at Noseum Creek. The route up is a pretty easy scramble with little loose scree and barely any handholds required, the way down had some tricky sections where large amounts of scree come down with you or where the ground was so hard that it was difficult to get good footing. We took 7 1/4 hours car to car including 1/2 hour breaks at both summits and a few short rest stops. Many thanks to Nathalie for coordinating, scribe Carl.
