| Itinerary: |
| Business meeting - with the AGM and election of executive officers, followed by a short break.
This evening will feature two presentations:
First, Mountain guide Ferdl Taxbock will show a short DVD, "Testing your avi beacon." He will then demonstrate the PIEPS DSP transceiver, which has three antennas. The advantage of having three antennas is that only one maximum reading is given during the fine search.
Ferdl will also demonstrate the i-Probe, the newest in avalanche probes.
The transceiver demonstration will be followed by the main presentation of the evening by ACC Gazette editor Lynn Martel, Canmore-based author of 'Expeditions to the Edge - Stories of Worldwide Adventure.'
